Dalibai Girls Hostel

Dear All, I am pleased to share with you the Social Services progress of Shree Lok Seva Samaj Trust. We are focused on education support through two projects:

  1. "Girl Child Empowerment" program through Dalibai Girls Hostel, Rajkot.
  2. Socio-economically "Challenged Children" from standard 1st-12th support through the Ashram Shala at Maliasan village.

GIRL CHILD EMPOWERMENT At Dalibai Girls Hostel we provide free boarding and lodging. Capacity is 100-120 at a time. Over the years hundreds of girls have benefited.

Current state of residential, kitchen, and hygiene support facilities are shown in photos here. You will see we urgently need to enhance current facilities to the minimum targeted level.

Girl Child Education A smart investment
  • Basic education provides girls with an understanding and knowledge of challenges and opportunities. This enables them to make suitable life choices.
  • Girl child education leads directly to improved family health and economic growth.
  • Educated women are more likely to educate their own children ending the cycle of illiteracy in one generation.

Our Aim

Our aim is to create education as an important tool to enable girls to participate in decisions that affect their lives and improve their social status. We promote a sense of self-esteem, dignity, and self-worth so that girls gain strength from solidarity, collective action and mutual support.

Dalibai Girls Hostel The Shree Lok Seva Samaj Trust Hostel facility

  • There are 110 girls from rural Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli and Surendranagar district. These girls comes from poor socio-economical background.
  • The Trust provides free of cost lodging and boarding facilities at the girl’s hostel for standards 5-12.
  • The State Government social welfare department is providing partial financial support.
  • This hostel has been running for last 35 years.
